How to Get 5 Paid Bookings in the Next 5 Days

Marketing campaigns are all well and good, but what if you need to get some bookings now?

Magically Make Money with Mastermind Groups and Mentoring
To dramatically multiply your revenue, you have to leverage your time. How can you make more per hour without pricing yourself out of the market? By charging less to more people for the same time. Plus, if done well, a group offers more value to its members than a one-on-one session. This is the beauty of group coaching, mentoring and mastermind groups.
However, they are not easy to set up, run, and have a high percentage of renewals. There are plenty of ways to spend a lot of time without many registrants. And there are some tips that will help you have more success sooner. These three teleseminar experts will share with you need to do for success and what to avoid.

Converting PDF books to Kindle format — Dave Paradi
If you have a book in a PDF, Amazon has a tool that can convert it to Kindle format. If you have the source text for the book, using the recommended HTML format for Kindle is still better. This tool helps if you only have a PDF version. This may be helpful if you have some older books that are still relevant and you don’t want to spend a lot of time or effort making a Kindle version available. The tool is called the Kindle Textbook Creator.
While it says it is for textbooks, it works just fine for any PDF book. I used it recently to convert a book that has 192 color images that I didn’t want to fight with in the HTML approach to creating Kindle content. The converted book may not work on all Kindle platforms, depending on the content of the book. My converted book works on all tablet, phone, computer and Kindle Fire platforms, which covers most of my target audience.
Follow the instructions on setting up the Table of Contents in the converted format so readers can easily move to different places in the book. It took me under two hours to convert, create the Table of Contents, check it over and have it published. Now I have a Kindle version of the book in addition to the paperback version.

Add more to your booking — Jeff Davidson
Suppose that it will take you a half day to reach the client’s meeting location, 45 minutes to give your presentation, and then depart late in the day. Since you are already going to be onsite, the obvious question arises: what more could you do for the client?
Could you offer a second session — a breakout that further expounds some of the points you made in your keynote? A session for special groups that are subsets of the larger group (e.g., an executive round table session to the association board of directors, the association staff, or a select committee)? If you are booked months in advance, propose offering a session to one of these special groups and the meeting planner might be quite receptive. You could tailor or customize your remarks so that the audience members in this special session feel especially privileged to have attended.
New revenue stream for thought leaders? — Vickie Sullivan
Thought leadership has been about awareness, positioning and using our brilliance to get clients. According to some interesting stats from a recent Forbes article, though, we’re leaving money on the table. Influencer marketing is about to hit critical mass.
When reading the article, move past the examples and the mass market focus. Key quote: “To call it ‘influencer marketing’ is really only the beginning. What’s truly happening is a broader shift, as more and more people are discovering the art of personal branding.”
Let’s ask ourselves: If association defines the value equation, does this disrupt the value of our communities? You bet it does. What we are seeing here is the monetization of personal branding.
The big change, though, is the definition of influencer: It isn’t just having a big social media following, but having one that is carefully defined. This development — strategically defined communities — will separate the “free” experts who have a Twitter account from the sought-after thought leaders who enjoy both fame and fortune.
Consider this a heads-up. The market has redefined thought leadership and influence. Strategic branding will be king now, as communities are not valued by size alone. Brand yourself to these new standards, or stay trapped in the “free exposure” category.
