Use your state’s library site for prospectsShirley George Frazier

I found an expansive spreadsheet on my state’s library site detailing which libraries have the largest pool of resources to pay speakers. Such information is gathered due to each library’s requirement to account for yearly expenses.

The spreadsheet revealed which libraries have the most funds — and therefore which would have funds to pay speakers — along with the name, address, phone, and email for each library director. I was able to determine which libraries to contact for future engagements. If you are in the U.S. and want to explore this option, perhaps your state library site has a similar spreadsheet online for review.
