Intensive — Adapting Your Content
for Lucrative E-Learning Courses

Colleagues are making big bucks with e-learning, both for individuals and for corporate clients. E-learning is not just uploading webinar videos, especially if you want to get into the lucrative continuing education market. It needs to have components that prove attendees understand the information.

With these three recordings, you’ll hear different approaches and strategies for making high-quality e-learning to sell to your clients and individuals.

  • “Cracking the Continuing Education Code for a Healthy Revenue Stream” with Jeff Justice, CSP
  • “Creating a Quality Video Course” with Mark Camacho
  • “Multiply Your Income by Leveraging Your Speech Content into a Training Product That You Don’t Have to Deliver” with Shep Hyken, CSP, CPAE

Miscellaneous Tips

Proposal ideasRita Risser Chai

This meetings production agency proposal gave me a lot of ideas on what to include in mine.

Be a gracious host to your radio show guestsRosalind Sedacca

Some inexperienced or non-professional radio or podcast hosts neglect introducing their guests by including their credentials, website, book or other pertinent information.

After a break it’s important to mention again, “We’ve been talking to ... who is ...”

Listeners need to know how to find your guest after the show. I have had many interviews that ended without a recap about who I am, what I’ve written or done, and my contact information. Certainly leaves a bad impression for your guest.

(Editors’ note: Roz offered lots of useful ideas in her SNN teleseminar “Generate New Revenue by Securing Mini-Sponsors.”)

Technology Tips

If your email isn’t getting throughBeth Terry

Contact your IP email host and tell them your deliverability is down. Ask them to move you to a different IP address if possible. You can also have them check it against several of the major spam programs like spam assassin. If you’re blacklisted on any of them, you lose.

Travel Tips

Leave extra time for travel 11/26 at these airportsWendy Kalman

An airline caterers union will be demonstrating at Charlotte, Chicago (ORD), Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Honolulu, Houston (IAH), Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Newark, New York (JFK), Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington (DCA). They expect the number of demonstrators at each airport to range from 200 to 1000 at JFK.

New airline club ruleEileen McDargh

I pay for United Red Carpet and American Admirals clubs. Both clubs have a new rule that you can only use the clubs if you have a boarding pass for the respective airline. I’m told Delta has had this rule for awhile.

Topic of the Month (TOTM) — Your Input Wanted

Our TOTM is: Now that the year is winding down, look back and share the one best idea you implemented this year that yielded business.

Send your brief, pithy responses to editor@SpeakerNetNews.com. Please put “Topic of the Month” or “TOTM” in the subject line.
