Intensive — Create and Leverage Your Brand Visually and Powerfully

Highly successful businesses have instantly identifiable logos and brand materials. We can tell some brands by just a unique shape or color, even without the brand’s name. We need to make sure our brand’s visuals telegraph our value and quality, even though we don’t have millions in our marketing budget.

There are myriad ways to ensure you have a high-quality look to everything associated with you and your brand, from the photos you use in your slides, website, videos, etc. How do you ensure your materials stand out, rather than look like the same stock images others are using?

It’s not as hard, time-consuming, or expensive as you may think. These three recordings will help you think through your visual branding and give you ideas on how to make yours even more powerful.

Miscellaneous Tips

Find out what your brand *really* isLynda Kavanagh

Branding is what others say about you or your business when you are not in the room. Find out what they are saying (secret shoppers or friends/family are helpful with this) and then decide if you are happy with that definition or not. If not, then it is time to refresh or diversify your brand.

When a professional photographer will be at your eventRebecca Morgan

When you learn your client is hiring a professional photographer, ask if you can have his/her contact info so you can pay the photographer for some extra shots. Ask the client if they have specific shots they want to capture from your presentation, or if it’s OK to suggest some. Ask if it’s OK with the client if the photographer shares those with you for your social media, website, etc., and offer to pay some of the photographer’s fee.

Assuming all the above is OK with the client, when you contact the photographer beforehand to discuss your needs, give him/her a shot list (close up, from stage into the audience, you on IMAG, etc.), and cues if you know you make a great face in a part of a story. (You don’t want them focused on the audience if they’ll miss this shot.) Identify key sections that always get a great audience reaction so they can then get shots of the audience reaction.

You could also arrange a pre/post-presentation headshot session, some of the line while you sign books, and some with key audience members (execs, board members, and of course, the meeting professional!) that you can then use in your social media, and have printed and framed to send to these VIPs with a personal thank you. You’d pay the photographer’s fee for these extra shots.

Warm Leads in Your Pocket (free webcast)
with Duncan Hesketh, WeSpeakGlobal creator

Duncan HeskethYou are *so* tired of prospecting. What if you could easily get in front of over 5000 meeting professionals who book professional speakers? You make it easy for them to find you — easier than the bazillions of Google search results that come up when someone searches your topic.

There’s an app for that!

The WeSpeak Global app helps you get bookings. Created by top bureau owners Bronwyn and Duncan Hesketh, who market the app to their vast list of meeting professionals to help them find speakers — 5000 planners have already downloaded the app!

This means that at least 5000 event professionals from around the world now have this marketing platform in their pockets at all times, as well as on their desktops. This gives thought leaders, speakers, emcees and entertainers direct access to those bookers, since no other platform currently available has the ability for in-app marketing and purchases. But get this — WeSpeak does not take a bureau commission, only a small fee for the paid version.

With a truck load of functionality available to speakers, including robust, multi-media, marketing collateral uploadability, PLUS the hosting and sales of *paid* mini-keynotes and full online courses, the platform is fast becoming the go-to option for all who want to be in full control of their marketing material.

But the steep learning curve of technology can be quite daunting, so WeSpeak Global creator, Duncan Hesketh, will run through the platform, showing us how to use it to its full extent, helping us to better understand the potential of reaching those 5000+ warm leads (which is growing daily).

Join live as we explore the app together to see all the capabilities to increase bookings.

What you will learn:

  • getting set up on the platform
  • easily add your listing
  • add your content to be top of mind
  • who the app is marketed to and how to maximize your exposure to them
