Unlock the Power of Sponsorships:
Elevate Your Impact & Bottom Line
with Myra Corrello, PhD

Myra CorrelloWhyh would you consider having a sponsor?

A sponsor is a company or organization that you partner with — they pay you for your speech, or your products, in exchange for getting some promotion of their own products and services to the audience you are both working with.

You benefit, the sponsor benefits, and the audience benefits because they don’t have to pay for your appearance.

It can be an ideal relationship, but how do you go about finding and courting a sponsor? That’s what this next program is all about.

Read more about this session at the bottom of this newsletter, then register for the live program or pre-order the recording.

Note: Everyone who registers for the live webcast session or orders the recording will get a link to the recorded video of the online webcast, as well as the audio MP3 for convenient re-listening.

Intensive — Use Artificial Intelligence
to Dramatically Streamline Your Efforts

AI is all the rage. It can be an incredibly useful tool to advance your business, but there are pitfalls that can get you in trouble. It can help you outline an article or book, write a video script or sales letter, and myriad other tasks. But using it to write a book may get all your work banned from Amazon.

How can you use this tool ethically, legally, and productively? These three webcast recordings give you ideas you likely haven’t thought of.

  • “Ridiculously Easy Ways to Amplify Your Reach and Your Revenue with AI” with Shawna Suckow, CSP
  • “Increase Your Thought Leadership — and Income — with ChatGPT and AI” with Gina Carr, MBA & Terry Brock, MBA, CSP, CPAE

Miscellaneous Tips

Great Dan Pink interviewEric Chester

In addition to being the chief speechwriter for Al Gore, Dan Pink is a phenomenal speaker and the author of 5 NYT Bestselling books. Recently, CBS News went behind the scenes at Pink’s home in Washington, DC to uncover how he thinks, creates, and writes his material. This is a rare and revealing 20-minute backstage tour into the mind of a genius that is a true game-changer for even the most experienced speakers and authors.

Your payments through payment processors may generate an IRS formSteve Hoffman

The new IRS form 1099-K may be coming your way. If you receive $600+ (total for each) payments through a “payment processor” — Venmo, PayPal, EBay, Amazon, Stripe or Square — this year, you will receive a 1099-K. What is reported could be taxable to you.

The IRS will consider the amounts to be taxable. Of course, you can always deduct ordinary and necessary business expenses. Beware, there has been no tax withholding on the amounts you receive so you may be surprised at the end of the year when you file your 2023 tax return.

Here’s an IRS video about the 1099-K.

Here’s a draft copy of the 1099-K.

Speaker Sam Richter has created two incredibly useful sitesRebecca Morgan

  • gptfollowup.com — in just seconds you can stay in touch with prospects and clients, and provide relevant value that they care about. The site helps you find articles and reports you think will interest a specific client or prospect, then help you craft the email or LinkedIn message. No charge.
  • intelngin.com — discover conferences, events, and decision makers that pay speakers. Small monthly fee.

This is an interesting article about copyrights and AI that you need to read if you are using AI. “What You Need to Know About Copyright Issues Surrounding Generative AI

Deciding your messageCharlie Krebs

One of the most important speaking decisions you make is deciding what your message is. If you boiled down everything you have to say into one sentence (your thesis) what would it be? Another way of thinking about it is to finish this statement: “I teach ____________ (this lesson) to ____________ (this audience) so they will think ____________ (this thought) and do ____________ (this action).”

Excellent PowerPoint designerRobin Speculand

I’m reluctant to share Muhammad Faheem’s connection as I don’t want him to get any busier than he currently is. I discovered his PowerPoint capabilities on Fiverr, and we have now been collaborating for over 6 years. He transforms business PowerPoint slides to stunning presentations with excellent animation, when required.

He is offering a discount in the month of August to this network of an exclusive 50% on his professional presentation design services. “Elevate your impact, captivate your audience, and leave a lasting impression with our top-notch designs.” — Faheem

His focus is making your presentation more engaging visually and avoiding your wasting time designing that he can do for you. He also very honest. Shortly after we started working together, we met while I was presenting in Pakistan and I offered to pay him directly. He refused as he said that we had met through Fiverr and they deserved their commission.
